In 1987, Jenna is a shy, intelligent 13-year-old who experiences severe emotional trauma. Wishing she could be one of the sophisticated 30-year-olds she reads about in magazines, Jennifer Garner’s character suddenly transforms into her adult self 17 years later as a successful magazine editor. She is still a bewildered child trapped in an adult body.

When Tom Hanks did this in Big, the humor came entirely from the contrast between the inner child and the outward adult. However, this film blurs the lines between the two, implying that all women in their 30s secretly yearn to be tweenie kidults. Adult In addition to watching Michael Jackson movies, Jenna hosts sleepovers for 13-year-olds.

There are a few laughs, but the humor is not really well developed from the idea.
